Why you are stuck

.. and where to start not to be!

If you have reached a point in your life where you feel stuck, and a huge desire to change direction to feel more aligned (acknowledge is actually the first step towards that change!), more freedom and happiness, whether it be in starting a business or making other significant changes in the reality your are living, it is important to understand that this process will require you to transform certain aspects of yourself. This transformation, or evolving as I like to see is, does not refer to changing who you are as a person, but rather your thoughts, beliefs, and how you handle different situations, including discomfort! You must be open to doing things differently than you have in the past: your previous actions have not yet brought you to where you desire to be, right?

In order to achieve an desired outcome, our "best version of ourselves", "our dream job" or "a perfect relationship", "become more self-confident" or whatever we want to achieve, our motivation is always how we think this particular desired outcome will make us FEEL; or even more likely for most people, how being where we are, an experience of some kind of lack, makes us feel at this moment. We would never see the need for change in any situation or aspect of our lives if we didn't feel a particular feeling connected to that given situation or aspect.

A huge misconception that holds people back from changing parts of their reality they're not satisfied with, is that they believe to decide to take an action is enough. For instance, let`s say "Kevin" decides to quit snoozing. He want to have more time in order to drink his coffee in the mornings. The action that leads to this desired outcome will, easy as is might look, be just to jump out of bed the second the alarm goes off, right? An easy action itself, but why do people, just like "Kevin", struggle to do this no matter how motivated he was the night before? "Because Kevin is the type of person who needs more time to wake up. He need to snooze at least 5 times to wake up". Ok, then the only logical action to solve the "morning coffee problem" of his will be: to set the alarm 20 min earlier... Of course, any snoozers out there knows that this doesn't work. Or maybe it does, for two weeks or so, just to collapse into heavy snoozing again. This happens despite the fact that he hates to run for the bus, hates to miss his morning coffee, hates to come sweaty into the office and wants so badly to change this. He would LOVE slow mornings and have a long lists of arguments why to stop snoozing will make him feel better! Even with all this motivation, why is it still so hard? - There is believes, thoughts and feelings connected to the act of snoozing, and most of them happens on a subconscious level! This is the parts of ourself we need to connect with to actually see the desired outcome fold out to be a part of our in reality!

This also is the case in ANYTHING, I mean anything, you experience as your reality; your habits, your home, your career, your social life, your relationships. Your motivation to keep, or dismiss a current situation, is always connected to your believes, feelings and thoughts. If not now, at some point, your thoughts and feeling chose it to be better to stay in that particular situation. I am of course not talking about circumstances out of your control (trauma, deceases, loss of family or friends). The reason why you are stuck is because you at some level, at some point, decided that being stuck is more safe and feels "better" than to change what must be changed and go for your dreams. But remember, don't blame yourself. As I have mentioned earlier; we have an unconscious mind that do not always work in our favor. Just being aware of your patterns will give you an huge advantage in getting rid of them.

So, be corious. "Why am I in this current situation? What brought me here?"

You have to change who you pretend to be, to become who you truly are. This might sound a little "woo woo", but it's not. It's all about perception! Yes, maybe you end up letting go of your job to chase a career you really want or to travel the world, but to be able to do that, you have a thinking pattern that will serve a person who is scared to death about that!
